Evaluating the Role of Political Interests in the Prevention and Recognition of Genocide

The SPECPOL’s Respect for Sovereignty and Territories and Self Determination of People principles are playing a huge role in Disputed Territories. Respect for Sovereignty means recognizing a state’s having authority over their territory as controlling both own land and own government, decisions. That brings about the second one which is Self Determination: People or the community to choose their status and beside that how it shall be governed.
The Political Control of Strategic Resources in Disputed Territories is a not underlined problem of our world. Disputed Territories are territories that have an arguably status, generally two/three or more sides claim right on territory and territories that have sovereignty problems. Those territories should be monitored and decided by a neutral organ as SPECPOL.
